Susan Barton-Tait and Maeve Hanna based in Prince George, BC are the artists behind the guerilla art project S E N T I N E L S.
Small artworks ( cast firewood, and drawings) are appearing around the city of Prince George and its surrounding districts. The artworks keep watch over the city as sentinels of cultural activity. Directed towards integrating visual arts into the streets of the city, quite literally, the project also hopes to bring the viewer into the project. Residents of Prince George happen upon the works or see them being installed. In this simple act, they themselves become a part of the project.
S E N T I N E L S creates an art walk, a culturally living experience happening in real time in Northern BC.
